What to Expect When You Report a Trade Barrier to Us

Please note: When you submit your trade barrier inquiry, you should receive an automatic notification on screen of successful transmission. Within the next 48 business hours of submitting your inquiry, our office will review your inquiry, and we will email you with an update and next steps. Depending on the nature of your issue, someone from ITA may contact you to collect more information, investigate your situation, or refer you to other governmental offices which handle your issue, if the issue is outside our purview or expertise.

You should be aware that, while some issues can be resolved in a matter of days, other issues may require additional time (i.e., several weeks to several months) to resolve. If you have copies of regulations or documentation, etc., that our team will need to evaluate your issue, please note that to our team.
